Terms and conditions

Ordering

Orders are placed over WhatsApp or email. The pack details, prices, and schedule we state at that moment become part of the agreement. Prices on the site can change; the price that applies is the one agreed when the order is placed.

Payment

Orders ship once the payment is received, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Listed prices don't include shipping unless we say so. On orders above Rp500.000, we cover the shipping anywhere in Indonesia.

Coffee terms

• Our roast, not a dark disguise: Every bean is roasted in-house in small batches. We use nothing that covers up an unclear origin.
• The roast date is always printed: Every pack carries its roast date. If that date is more than six weeks old, contact us — don't brew it.
• Ground only on request: We grind for the method you name. If you have your own grinder, we'd rather ship the beans whole so no aroma is lost on the way.
• The valve lets air out, not in: The valve on the pack lets the CO₂ escaping from fresh beans out, so pressure never damages the aroma inside.
• No preservatives, nothing added: No salt, no sugar, no preservatives. What you drink is the taste of the bean itself.
• Coarse for espresso, fine for V60: A V60 needs a fine grind; espresso needs the finest of all. In doubt, pick the French Press — the most forgiving of the three.
• Water decides forty percent of the taste: Water that's too hard makes bitterness louder; cloudy water wrecks the acidity. Mineral or filtered water is the safest pick.
• The grind matters more than the gear: Expensive gear won't rescue a wrong grind. Starting out, one adjustable grinder is enough.
• Store it dry: Not in the fridge. Keep it in an airtight container, away from sunlight, at room temperature. Humidity is aroma's main enemy.
• Use within 4 weeks of the roast: After four weeks the aroma has dropped off noticeably. If you go through a lot, order smaller but more often.
• By ordering from TokoKopi you accept the terms above: the beans are roasted to the origin's profile, nothing is added, the roast date is always printed, and grinding happens only when you ask for it.

Beans are roasted twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. What we ship is that week's roast batch, with the date printed on the pack.

Grinding happens only at your request, and we note the grind method so we can help tune it if something is off.

If the parcel is damaged or the beans don't taste fresh, we replace them with a fresh batch of the same origin at no extra cost.

Equipment

• Every tool is checked for function and completeness before it ships. Faulty tools don't ship.
• The warranty follows each brand's distributor terms.
• Used tools, or tools that have met water, can't be returned — except for manufacturing faults we report to the distributor.
• If the parcel arrives damaged, send us a photo and we'll replace it free of charge.

Monthly subscription

• The subscription ships at the start of the month, with the origin or recipe chosen by you or picked by us.
• The subscription stops automatically if the next month's payment fails.
• You can cancel anytime over WhatsApp or email, free of charge, effective from the next period.

Your responsibilities

• The delivery address you give must be reachable.
• You are responsible for the coffee and the brew method you ordered.
• If you order grinding, you confirm the grind suits the method you use.

We may refuse or cancel an order whose address can't be reached, or whose delivery runs into problems.

The final cup

By ordering, you accept that the taste of the coffee is shaped by the water, the grinder, and the dose — not just by the beans. We help as best we can, but the final cup is also in your hands.

Confidentiality

What you send us is used only to work on your order, as described in the privacy policy. Payment data never enters our systems.

Cancellation

Orders cancelled before roasting are refunded in full. After roasting, the refund is prorated to the part already done. For subscriptions, cancellation takes effect from the next period.

Limitation of liability

We aren't responsible for a failed cup caused by the wrong water, grinder, or dose. Our liability is at most the cost of the order concerned.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia. We settle disputes by deliberation first; failing that, through the district court in TokoKopi's place of domicile.

Changes to these terms

The version that applies is the one current when the order is placed. New versions appear on this page with their update date.
